Kerr County, TX — July 9, 2025 — In the wake of the catastrophic flooding that devastated large parts of the Texas Hill Country, a new grassroots recovery initiative, Re:Seed the Texas Hill Country, is launching to provide an alternative to fleeting donations and deliver long-term economic resilience through local empowerment.
Re:Seed is a joint project between Hill Country-based Modern Agora and San Antonio-founded XP Network, and is hosted on XP Network’s existing business directory. The effort will spotlight, vet, and amplify local businesses and individuals affected by the disaster, offering a concrete way for people across the country to contribute to recovery—not through charity alone, but by investing in the region’s economic flow.
"When I personally lost everything eight years ago, the real struggle began not in the immediate aftermath but in the months and years that followed, when we were trying to rebuild while the rest of the world had moved on," said Jordan Aspen, founder of Modern Agora. While many traditional relief efforts focus on short-term aid, Re:Seed takes a fundamentally different approach. Importantly, it also paves the way for job creation and contracted work that puts income directly into the pockets of Hill Country residents.
Restaurants and food trucks have burned through their inventory feeding first responders and evacuees—an unquantified but deeply felt loss for businesses that may not have sustained physical damage but still face daunting costs. Re:Seed provides a bridge from that sacrifice to future sustainability by reintegrating these businesses into new economic networks.

From there, the XP Network team reaches out directly to verify that each applicant is a legitimate business located in the Hill Country. Verification is handled quickly by real people—often within two business days.
